Module 1: Leadership in Complex Health Systems

(5-day on campus)

What you will learn

  • Develop systematic understanding and insights on the complexity of health systems in financing, delivery and organisations;

  • Diagnose the leadership challenges in influencing and leading transformations from different positions in the health system; and

  • Identify the leadership skill set in meeting leadership challenges in the health system

Module 2: Leadership for Health System Strengthening (10-week distance coaching)

Participants will work in small groups of 5 or 6. Each group will work on one of the building blocks for health system strengthening based on the WHO framework. The building blocks will include attributes to link up the overall goals and outcomes.
 

What you will learn

  • Develop systematic understanding and insights on the components of health system and approaches to health system strengthening

  • Appraise case studies and innovations leading to health system strengthening

  • Develop project proposals to bring about changes for health system strengthening

13-17 October 2025

Module 3: Leadership and Health System Innovation

(5-day on campus)

What you will learn

  • Develop insights on the challenges and barriers to innovations in healthcare and meeting health system challenges

  • Develop appreciation on personality traits, styles and behaviors on leadership roles in health system transformation and innovations

  • Summate on the personal changes required to improve on leadership capability
